Our players thoroughly enjoyed events organised by Ballygarvan GAA Club, and ably assisted by members of the Camogie club, on Sunday last. To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of the GAA, a parade, which included all the under-age teams and led by a piper, marched from the village to Páirc MacCárthaigh.  Large numbers of the girls partticipated in the various skills competitions and were pleased to see they held their own against the boys. However, the males eventually got the upper hand in the entertaining, though highly contentious, game organised against the senior camogie team
