Coaches Meeting
Meeting for all Club coaches will be held Wednesday 16th September 8.00pm in the clubhouse. Canice Kennedy, Sports Psychologist, will address the challenges of 'Coaching in the 21st Century'. The programme will cover -
| Part 1: What is Coaching? An introduction to coaching reflecting on the how and why of coaching in a team environment and on the role of coaches from the expectations of participants and the club. Part 2: Sports Participation Model The elements of the Sports Participation Model (Technical, Tactical, Physical & Mental) and importance of targeting the requirements of the participant with the capacities of the model. Part 3: The Player & Coaching Pathways Developing young players should reflect the player pathway and coaches should be aligned to the pathway. Part 4: Sport Psychology in Coaching How do we improve coaching to include mental training that is age and level appropriate? |
