Launch 125 Celebrations - Entertainment in Cork International Airport Hotel 8.00pm to 1.00am. Members and Friends of Ballygarvan Camogie and GAA are invited to join in celebrating the GAA's 125th Anniversary. Music by Colum Cronin.
Sunday 10/5/09
12.00 noon. Parade from Gleann Rua to Liam MacCarthy Park.
(Parade led by pipers and colour party including under-age players from GAA and Camogie Clubs)
12.45pm The Jubilee Mile
(Runners from the GAA and Camogie Clubs adult and juvenile sections to run the mile from points North, South, East and West to the pitch carrying the Club colours and the flags of the Four Provinces. The 'Jubilee Mile' commemorates the anniversary of the GAA’s inaugural fixture in Cork held in Ballygarvan on 10th May 1885)
12.55pm Flag Raising Ceremony
1.00pm Blitz for boys and girls up to U-10 (main pitch)
1.00pm U-12s, U-14s and U-16s Skills Competition
2.00pm Match (Senior Camogie team and Boys U.16) (20 mins a side)
2.45pm Men’s Football and Hurling Match
(20 mins a side)
3.30pm Cic Fada and Poc Fada (open to all)
