Update on Ballygarvan GAA Car draw

Update on Ballygarvan GAA car draw.

The playing facilities at Páirc Liam Mac Cárthaigh in Ballygarvan are of huge importance to all the Clubs (Adult, Underage, Camogie and Ladies Football). They allow the whole community to participate in our national games. However developing and maintaining such facilities come at a cost.

The GAA club are currently fundraising to pay off the loan on the all-weather pitch and ball walls, which all Clubs utilize, and to start fundraising for the improvement and extension of existing playing facilities.

We are asking each of the 300 families who use the facilities to buy or sell a book of tickets for the Fundraising car draw between now and October 31st. Tickets cost €20 each or 3 for €50. There is almost €20,000 in prizes to be won. In order to make sure that each family receives their book of tickets we are seeking 15 volunteers from each of the 4 clubs. These volunteers will deliver 1 book of tickets to each of 5 "Club" families. The volunteers will then return to that family before the draw takes place to collect the sold tickets and proceeds.

We would hope that both volunteers and families would see the importance of this fundraising activity to maintain access to quality playing facilities. It is imperative that all families participate in this fund raising as best they can. All tickets sold count in clearing the debt of the ball wall. There is no onus on anyone to participate but we can't rely on others to support future generations being in a position to use this amenity.

We will be distributing tickets on Wednesday July 6th in the Siopá from 7 to 8.30pm
