Senior Camogie League
Ballygarvan 5-12,  St. Finbarr’s 2-7
The Ballygarvan senior team continued their league campaign with a tough game against the Barrs. Ballygarvan opened the scores with a well-taken point by Rebecca Murphy. Gemma O Connor replied with a point for the Barrs,  which was followed by a goal from Ballygarvan’s Michelle Dunne and two more goals in quick succession from Rachel Keohane.  The Ballygarvan defence kept up the pressure at the other end and conceded just two more points in the first half while Ballygarvan’s Laura O’ Callaghan scored a goal, Emmer Dillon scored two points, and Rebecca Murphy and Suzanne Lynch each put over points.

In the second half, Emmer Dillon’s excellent free-taking severely punished the opposition and Rebecca Murphy put over another goal and two points. Well done to all the girls who put in a huge effort in this very physical match, particularly to the defence which kept the Barrs score to a minimum in a very physical game.
