Foundation Level Coaching Courses
| The first step on the coaching ladder is to complete a Foundation Level course. All Coaches, provided they are over the age of 16, will be obliged to commence by taking the Foundation Level course. The course is completed over 6 – 8 hours, usually over 2 – 3 nights or 1 weekend and involves practical coaching assignments together with some theoretical content. Areas covered include : Physical Literacy Development of agility, balance and coordination Development of running, jumping, throwing and catching Skills Development Covers how to coach a skill in football and hurling including the key technical elements involved Games Different types of games have emerged in recent years to improve players development, here coaches will see first hand the latest ideas.
