This hurling exhibition game is organised by Sciath na Scol and Harry was nominated by his primary school Togher BNS to represent his county. U13 Training continues on Thursday 5th February at 6.15 to 7.30pm in Ballygarvan. U13 training is open to all boys born in 1996 and 1997. The training schedule for February is as follows: Tuesdays 7-8 pm in Nemo Thursdays 6:15 - 7:30 in Ballygarvan The cost of the indoor training is €20 for the 4 weeks. U13 Most Improved Hurler: Jason O Callaghan. Jason reached his potential as an U13 player this year with some outstanding perfomances in the U13 league. Jason displayed not only a wide range of skills but also a steely determination that will see him grow as a hurler in the future. U13 Most Improved Footballer: Donald O Sullivan. Donald had a great 12 months where he won a Sciath na Scol medal and also played some outstanding games for Ballygarvan U13 footballers. U13 Most Dedicated Player: Aaron Dunlea. Aaron was an excellent team player in 2008. His dedication to training saw him have a near perfect training attendance. While his excellent behaviour along with his mature and courteous nature saw Aaron become a firm favourite of his coaches and team mates alike.

U14 Most Improved Footballer: Ferghal Ahern. Ferghal showed great commitment to our U14 team in 2008. He led from the front with great skill and determination in all our football games and training. His excellent behaviour throughout the season must be also commended. U14 Most Improved Hurler: Jack Naidoo. Jack had a great hurling season in 2008 where he developed into a skilful, athletic and determined player. Jack's great sense of humour at all times was a source of much fun for his coaches and team mates. U14 Most Dedicated Player: Ronan Murphy. Ronan showed great commitment to the U14 team in 2008. Ronan was injured for much of the season but he continued to train with his team mates and also filled numerous positions for the hurling and football teams from being a goalkeeper to a full forward!

Tickets for our Annual Junior Club Awards night on 29 December 2008 are available to buy on Tuesday 23rd December (8-8:30pm) December in Ballygarvan Clubhouse. Tickets cost €10. Please note that numbers must be finalised tonight so reserve your tickets with Chairman Mick O Shea or Secretary Tony O Brien to avoid disappointment.
