Ballygarvan face Bandon in the quarter final of the Evening Echo Intermediate Hurling Championship  on Tuesday 31st of August at 6.30 in Brinny. Ballygarvan intermediate hurlers have been having a very good year in the league, and also overcame the much fancied Éire Óg in the 4th round of the championship. Bandon have also been doing well in the league, albeit at a higher grade to Ballygarvan and had a superb victory over Kanturk (3-18 to 1-10) in the 4th round of the championship.
