Ballygarvan 1-12 Glanworth 1-06

Ballygarvan marched on the County Junior Football Final for the first time with a well deserved victory over Glanworth at Mallow this afternoon in a game played in a torrential downpour. Ballygarvan were on top all through this game and led at the interval by 2 points, 0-06 to 0-04, Ballygarvan's points coming from Gary White and Joe Spillane. Indeed only for a good save from the Glanworth keeper from a Ken Ashman piledriver, and Liam Dillon failing to control the slippery ball when put through by Stephen White, it could have been a far worse position for Glanworth. Second half points fron Cian O'Conchúir, Ken Ashman, P J MacGearailt left Ballygarvan well in control, before some sloopy play let Glanworth in for a goal. But further points from Gary White and a punched goal from substiture Paudie O'Sullivan left Ballygarvan well in control at the final whistle. They now meet either Eire Óg or Cloyne in the County Final. Scorers. G White 0-05, J Spillane 0-03, P O'Sullivan 1-00, K Ashman 0-01, C O'Conchúir 0-01, P J MacGerailt 0-01, S White 0-01. Team.
